Hundreds of hikers expected for the 53rd Auxerre-Vézelay walk
The 53rd edition of the Auxerre-Vézelay march takes place this Sunday, April 28. Hundreds of hikers are expected on the GR654 route. Last year, the event brought together 2,300 people on this part of the Camino de Santiago which is traveled at a leisurely pace.

As usual, the organizers of the Auxerre Alpine Club offer six departures and routes from 8 to 57 km. The bravest will set off in the early morning from Auxerre, around 6 a.m. Occasional walkers will be able to enjoy a beautiful route of 8 or 11 km between Montillot and Vézelay.
Practical. Online registrations closed, but you can register on site on Sunday. Price between €7 and €15, depending on distances. And from 12 to 22 € with the bus which takes you to your starting point. Reduced price for under 16s. Presence required 15 minutes before departure. Bookstore festival celebrated in Yonne
Saturday, April 27, will be celebrated the 26th bookstore festival by independent booksellers in France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland. Artisans of Culture, they are one of the first ramparts in the defense of the diversity of ideas, creation and freedom of expression. The festival will honor the great poet Jacques Roubaud, of the OuLiPo movement, and the visual artist Edi Dubien.
In the Burgundy Franche-Comté region, 28 independent bookstores are participating in the event, through various activities. In Yonne, activities are offered in five establishments: the Obliques bookstores (Auxerre), Calligrammes (Sens), Jofac (Toucy), L’Or des Etoiles (Vézelay) and Maipiu (Tonnerre).

Elections for the Most Beautiful Athlete in France and Miss France Bodybuilder in Appoigny
Saturday April 27, from 11 a.m., in Appoigny, the final of the Most Beautiful Athlete in France and Miss France Bodybuilder 2024 will take place, at the cultural space, routes des Bries. The event is organized by the ACF, the Association of French Bodybuilders.

Tourist train festival in Puisaye
Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Toucy celebrates its Pays de Puisaye-Forterre tourist train. All day long, the members of the association offer tours of the rolling stock, the Railway Museum and the Post Office Travelers, the Draisine shuttles, the Picasso railcar shuttles. For the occasion, they will release the freshly repainted Y6100, the workshop/rescue wagon as well as the Y2126/27, a shunter repainted in blue, at the head of the postal lighters. It will of course be possible to take the train.

An illustration competition related to the titles of the opuses is also offered, with two sessions over the weekend for two age categories: one for 10/17 year olds and the other for over 18 year olds. Saturday April 27, at 11:30 a.m., the Jovinien club Dance Harmonies is organizing its first national dance competition, this Saturday, April 27, 2024. Around a hundred candidates are expected. Competitors will be able to compete in seven modern dance disciplines (hip-hop, breakdance, salsa, rock, etc.) each time either solo, duo or in a group and by age category: child (6 to 11 years old), junior (12 to 16 years old) and adult (over 16 years old).
