The objective: to provide key figures for last year and for early 2024; interact with around twenty hoteliers from the group; and present trophies to some of them.

Logis Hôtels is very optimistic

The Logis Hôtels group has announced the first figures for 2024. “From 1er January to April 21, in Lozère, we noticed an increase of 1% in turnover, compared to last year over the same periodexplains Karim Soleilhavoup. In Occitania, it is an increase of 16%.”

With the many bridges in May and the Olympic Games being held in this summer, Logis Hôtels is very optimistic. “The month of May will be extraordinary! We have calculated an anticipation of +35% activity and during the Olympics, we expect +65% reservations. We have all the ingredients for 2024 to be an absolutely incredible year in terms of attendance “, explains the general manager with a smile.

This group of hoteliers has, for five consecutive years, seen an increasing turnover. In 2022, it amounted to 1.3 billion euros.“In 2023, the final data was 6% higher compared to last yearunderlines the general director. And we’re on track for 2024 to be the sixth year in a row.”

“Customers are looking for non-standard places”

The clientele of the member hotels of this group is made up, overall, of 66% French and 34% foreigners. Around 70% of these people come for leisure or vacation, compared to 30% for business tourism, in 2023. “Today, customers are looking for non-standard places, explains Karim Soleilhavoup. That is to say, accommodations that they will not find elsewhere because each establishment is a unique experience.”

The Logis Hôtels group is a collective of independent hoteliers who aim to “family, singular and caring”, lists the general manager. “Customers need to feel at home”, adds Alain Bekaert, the president. Karim Soleilhavoup supports: “It’s a whole: being welcomed with a smile, rooms adapted to their expectations, little touches throughout the stay, quality catering.”

To promote the local economy, hotel and restaurant owners rely on short circuits. The 18 hotels of the Logis Hôtels de la Lozère group Source their supplies from an average distance of 345 km and concentrate 81% of their expenses in France, less than 200 km from their suppliers’ production sites.

Employability in the hospitality industry

The Logis Hôtels group represents nearly 23,430 jobs (direct, indirect or induced) in France and Europe in 2022. In , there are 3,009 full-time equivalent workers. In Lozère, there are 239 employees. The collective creates jobs in the hotel industry, but not only. Catering, service, delivery, local workers (notably farmers, butchers, cheese makers) are also affected. “For example, at the moment, thirteen job offers are available in Lozère; in Occitanie, it is 87”explains Karim Soleilhavoup, general director of the group.

“Catering, a marker of generosity”

Who says night at the hotel, often says catering. Logis Hôtels now has nearly 1,400 restaurants. “Nowadays we have a high demand from customers. They want the same place between accommodation and mealsindicates Karim Soleilhavoup. Catering is very important now. It is a marker of generosity and uniqueness. No two leaders are alike.”
