This is a first which took place Thursday evening at the Palais des Arts et des Congrès in . Coming from all over , apprentices from the CFA (apprentice training center) of the Chambre de Métiers de Bretagne slipped into the shoes of actors for an evening. They performed skits in front of more than 400 spectators, mainly young apprentices, their families and apprentice masters. A theatrical evening with multiple objectives. “The apprentices have been working on this project since the start of the school year. They imagined the sketches themselves, which they rehearsed with the help of professional actors. It is an exercise that allows them to gain confidence, better master oral expression, and showcase their professions. And then, theater is also a vector of integration…” underlines Emmanuelle Badouard, apprenticeship communication project manager at the Chambre de Métiers. The project also became an educational tool since it was built around several different subjects.

Entitled “CFA Breizh Show”, this project was implemented in the various Breton campuses of the chamber of trades: Vannes, , Bruz, Saint-Malo, Fougères. Thursday evening, the apprentice actors demonstrated their ability to manage the stress that is inevitable when performing in front of several hundred people. They also demonstrated their sense of derision and attachment to the profession they chose. In particular, they refuted certain reductive prejudices about certain of these professions. However, they call on know-how based on a tradition of excellence which gives all the nobility of craftsmanship…
