Laughter at the Collège de Lévis

The Entr’Amis Lévis theater troupe will take to the stage as part of its new theatrical production: Maman est là. French comedy written by Jean-Philippe Combe, the play will be presented on April 26 and 27, at 8 p.m., as well as on Sunday, April 28, at 2 p.m., in the auditorium of the Collège de Lévis.

Theater and classical music in the spotlight in Old Lévis

The Anglican will host two shows this weekend. This evening, the acclaimed documentary theater piece Dehors Novembre, looking back on the creation of the last legendary Colocs album, will be presented in the intimate venue of Vieux-Lévis. For this show hosted by Hubert Proulx, actor from Lévis, and Vander, member of Colocs, there are only a few tickets left.

The next day, L’Anglicane will host Cheng2 Duo, a Chinese-Canadian brother and sister duo formed by cellist Bryan Cheng and pianist Silvie Cheng, awarded by classical music critics. For more details on this show, you can read our article on the subject.

Invitation to rediscover On the road

On the occasion of his series À l’heure du thé, the Birthplace of Louis Fréchette welcomes the author Maxime Catellier. In 2023, the latter published Jean dit, published by L’oie de Cravan. An intimate and accurate reflection on the mother tongue of American author Jack Kerouac, this poetic suite traces a symbolic link between these two writers, through two totally different eras. Participants in the activity of the Lévis organization will therefore be able to dive with the Lower Laurentian author to discover his work and his tribute to Jack Kerouac. Pop and folk featured in Saint-Romuald

Finally, the Old Post Office of Saint-Romuald will welcome Avril Jensen this evening. Kanen will take over the stage at the Vieux-Saint-Romuald venue the next day.

Avril Jensen expresses herself in a pop style mixing French and English. His first song, Attends, released in 2021 with the collaboration of EXKY, earned a place in the playlist The best songs of 2021 (Quebec) on Spotify. She has a mini-album to her credit, Colors, released in 2022.

For his part, Kanen will return to the Old Post Office, this time to present his critically acclaimed solo project. A singer-songwriter, Kanen creates bilingual French and Innu aimun music exploring alternative, indie, folk and pop styles.
