This Sunday, our colleagues from La Libre Belgique published extracts from an alarming report. “Normally, a tunnel with such a level of safety would be completely closed and then reopened only after the total renovation has been completed. we could read.

Contacted, the Wegen en Verkeer administration confirmed the presence of cracks. But “no security problem”, we are told. The situation is being monitored, we are told. The asphalt on this bend will also have to be replaced during the work. “If things get worse, we will intervene more quickly than expected.”

”What more was needed? An 18-page novel?” : Philippe Henry’s explanations on the work at the Léonard crossroads are not convincing

Announced closure of the right turn in June

Let us recall in passing that, after the closure last Thursday of the “tourne-à-droit”, it will be the turn of the “tourne-on-the-left” to be closed.

Between June and the end of October, it will no longer be possible when coming from Waterloo to turn towards Auderghem at the Léonard crossroads. A disruption which will be added to the current closure of the Auderghem-Waterloo right turn, which will also not be restored before the end of October.
