171, 100, 50 and 34 kilometers: from Friday 17 to Monday 20 May 2024four events recognized by the highest world trail running body will take place in Alsaceand largely in the Haut-Rhin.

Indeed, the Trail Alsace Grand Est by UMTB is back for a second edition after the success of the first. And this one also seems to be off to a good start: the 6000 bibs available are all already gone.

Departure for Colmar for the main event

The most difficult test is that of Friday May 17. During 171 kilometers and 6,300 meters of elevation gainthe athletes will follow a route between the two Alsatian departments.

Departure from Colmar, arrival at Obernai, passage through the castles of Hohlandsbourg And Haut-Koenigsbourg, It’s a real journey that awaits athletes.

On the festivity side, a medieval village will be set up all day in Colmar, and knights will launch the start around 7 p.m. Then in the castles of Hohlandsbourg and Wineck, music groups will liven up the evenings from 10 p.m. to midnight.

For the 100 kilometer trailalmost the entire route will take place in Bas-Rhin, with the exception of a passage in the town of Saint-Hippolyte.

Concerning the tests of Sunday May 19 and Monday May 20, i.e. the 50 and 34 kilometer trails, they will not pass through the Haut-Rhin. But the departure and arrival villages will also be very lively.
