This is not the first time that local residents have complained that some participants in this event have had sex on public roads.

Some participants from Maspalomas Pride By Freedom have apparently chosen the gardens from the tourist office of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, in the south of the island of Gran Canaria (Canary archipelago, Spain), to make a orgy. According to the accounts of several witnesses reported by the Cadena SER, a group of boys allegedly got together to have sex.

Some residents and participants in this major event, which brings together thousands of people from the LGBT community each year, were scandalized by images broadcast on social networks. This is the case of a regular at this pride march. From what she observed, “there could be a hundred people engaging in sexual practices of all kinds while some just watched.”

Previous controversies

What bothers her the most is that the National Police were only 15 meters from the tourist office and did nothing. According to her, the agents “dedicated themselves solely to their usual surveillance service”.

This celebration, the main event of which is the big parade in which 95,000 people participated this year, had already been the subject of a controversy in 2017 when a video of a gay couple having sex on the beach in broad daylight and in front of dozens of people went viral. The previous edition, another video of the police dispersing a group of young people who were having an orgy in these same public gardens had spread like wildfire on social networks.
