Two pieces of good news from Risoul while we wait for the slopes to reopen: a new chairlift will allow you to go directly from the snow front to the summit of Homme de Pierre at 2,361 metres.
It will now only take 6 minutes to reach this summit directly, compared to 25 previously. and the need to borrow a first chairlift and then a ski lift. This new chairlift will offer a high flow rate, with a capacity of 2,800 skiers per hour and will be less energy-intensive.
This new chairlift will be put into service when the resort opens, scheduled for the weekend of December 7 and 8. This Homme de Pierre chairlift should also operate during the summer season, particularly for pedestrians and mountain bikers.
“The two old lifts and the two intermediate stations have been dismantled, thus giving nature back its rights.” specifies Risoul Labellemontagne.
Old ski lift seats auctioned for good cause
The seats of the old Césier chairlift are the subject of 3 charity auctions. The profits from the sales will be donated to three associations:
– Sales from September 9 to 23, 2024 for the benefit of the league against cancer
– Sales from October 7 to 21 for the benefit of the Mountain Rider association
– Sales from November 11 to 25 for the benefit of the Association 82-400 Alpinisme
These 3-seater hanging arch seats can sometimes be transformed into swings or interior decoration objects. They date from 2010.
