Gabriel Attal said he was working on “a system that makes it less expensive for bosses and employees to increase wages, especially when we are close to the minimum wage”, during an interview on BFMTV this Thursday, April 18.

The minimum wage, a decent salary?

For his part, the Prime Minister had announced his intention to “de-microcardiate” France during his general policy speech. The proportion of employees on the minimum wage has increased in recent years, going from 12% in 2021 to 17% in 2023, a jump of 5 percentage points in two years.
