A “village” acquired by Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp
We are on the outskirts of Saint-Tropez, exactly 27 kilometers away, but inland. It is in the Var that Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp invested in the early 2000s by acquiring a 19th century estate, the dimensions of which are close to those of a village… The region is popular with celebrities since Amal and George Clooney also live year-round in the village of Brignoles, on the Canadel estate.
Vanessa Paradis inherited the estate after her divorce from Johnny Depp, who himself never managed to sell it. The actor tried to sell it for the first time between 2015 and 2016 without ever finding a buyer, before trying his luck again in 2021 for $55.5 million — without success.
121,000m2 between vines and olive trees
According to a survey published by Capital magazine, this Provençal village is spread over around fifteen hectares between vines and century-old olive trees. The main house would be accompanied by six guest houses, a chapel, an artistic studio and even its own private restaurant called At Marceline’s. In addition to the two swimming pools, the property has a professional skate park, a wine cellar and a gym. Johnny Depp also confided to VSD magazine in 2009 about languid there with his family: “With Vanessa and the children, we live in a kind of small village, it’s like paradise. The estate is 121,000 square meters and you know what I do there? Absolutely nothing ! » Great program for the couple and their two children, Lily-Rose and Jack. The couple separated in 2012 after 14 years together.
Will Vanessa Paradis find it easier to find a buyer for her Provencal estate? Its future owner will undoubtedly be at the head of one of the most beautiful estates in the region.
