To remember

After Ghostbusters: The Threat of Ice last week, it’s all about Civil War to take the lead on the first day in France! Alex Garland’s film, which chronicles a frantic race across a fractured America, attracted more than 50,000 spectators. This is the best score of Garland’s career for a start in France.

His previous film, Men, had only 6,300 admissions for its first day of release. In second position, we find a lighter work, Here and there. With just over 22,000 curious people, the comedy with Ahmed Sylla produced a mixed performance.

Filmmaker Ludovic Bernard did better last year with 10 Days Still Without Mom and its 50,836 admissions on the day of its release. On the 3rd step of the podium, we find Borgo, drama around a prison guard played by Hafsia Herzi. The film sold 17,000 tickets on Wednesday April 17.

In 4th place, the animated film Spy x Family Code: White, started off rather well with more than 16,000 fans responding. The Japanese work is ahead of the action film Monkey Manworn by Dev Patel, and its 6,246 entries.
