“This is a rare incident which only generated material damage strictly limited to the single blade of the wind turbine concerned. Which must in any case be replaced“, declared the company Elawan Energy in a press release. “At this stage, explorations are underway, carried out by the manufacturer, in order to confirm that the incident encountered this Thursday is in fact limited to a defective element of a single wind turbine.“, she continues.
The company explains that it has “as a precaution“, put in place “site marking measures to avoid any traffic near the installation“.
The 7 machines in its fleet are at a standstill, “the time to obtain confirmation from the manufacturer that all the lights are green with a view to returning all the wind turbines to service“, she concludes.
