The infanticidal father of Chloé, the 5-year-old girl killed at her home in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), died this Saturday from his injuries. He had stabbed himself in the throat before throwing himself from the 2nd floor. “The person concerned died, without having been in a condition to be questioned” simply specified the parquet floor of Nanterre.
The tragedy that traumatized this building on the Promenade des Pins occurred overnight from Thursday to Friday. Without news of her friend who had gone to pick up her daughter from her father, a woman had called the police with good reason to be concerned. While the couple was in full separation, a restraining order had been issued the day before against the father.
A “courteous” man but capable of “bizarre behavior”
When the police arrived on the spot around 12:15 a.m., the mother, according to someone close to the case, “had managed to get out of the apartment, naked and shocked”. Her spouse was still inside with the little one. After brief exchanges, he appeared on the balcony, his face bloody. After trying to stab himself in the throat, he jumped into the void. Very seriously injured, he will be taken to the Pompidou hospital in Paris. In the apartment, the police discover the girl in the bathtub, a gaping wound in the throat. She will die on the spot a few moments later.
A few hours after this terrible night, a building in shock emerged. The father was considered “courteous” but “capable of bizarre behavior” by the occupants who had worked with him. A few days earlier, when his partner had settled in a hotel room financed by an association in Courbevoie, he had affixed posters accusing him of kidnapping…
This Saturday evening, a vigil organized by relatives and neighbors of the family is underway.
