Behind the scenes of autism on the big screen

The daily life and challenges of people with an autism spectrum disorder is what Jura director Michaël Beuchat offers to discover. “The Colors of Autism” will be screened from this Saturday until the end of March in the region. A film inspired by a meeting with Mathieu, resident at Fontenattes in Boncourt. When collecting testimonies from educators and relatives, Michaël Beuchat felt that “the parents wanted to talk about what they experienced and which was really not easy”. The first challenge that affects families of children on the autism spectrum is certainly “having the disability recognized,” adds the director. The preview was a great success: “We try to show what happens in life, everything is not rosy,” says Michaël Beuchat to explain the enthusiasm around his film. “The Colors of Autism” will be screened this Saturday in Moutier at 5:30 p.m. Find all the other screening dates in theaters in the region here. /mmi
