On the fanfare’s varied menu, “light pieces that will please everyone”, assures director Bastien Van Schilt.
The ensemble will perform among others the hit of the group Queen, Bohemian Rhapsodythe Disney theme Vaiana which is a hit at the moment, or even a song from the group Metallica. The ensemble will also offer the competition piece chosen for the brass bands which will be held in MayAntarcticaby Carl Wittrock. This year, the young people of the brass band, led by Steve Paratte, will join their elders for a piece and will open the concert.
The lure of gain
On the theater side, it’s the comedy in three acts Goodie bagsby Jacky Goupil, which was selected this year. The play features Ellen, her husband Romain, her sister Bonnie and the latter’s friend and surprise guest, Pakita.
On New Year’s Eve, Romain offers his guests lottery tickets. One of them wins the jackpot, arousing the jealousy of the other three. The protagonists compete with burlesque strategies to try to seize the loot.
Like last year, only four actors take the stage: Marion Siegenthaler, Catherine Vuille, Amélie Gigon and Emmanuel Loriol. The play, which lasts more than an hour, gives them little respite between scenes.
