Inauguration of the annex of the National Institute of Fine Arts in Agadir

The inauguration of an annex of the national institute of fine arts took place this Tuesday in Agadir, during a ceremony chaired by the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch.

Aware of the emergence of art in Morocco and the talent of Moroccans, the government is making efforts to respond to this pressing need. This cultural structure was rehabilitated as part of a partnership between the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, and the municipality of Agadir, with a total investment of 16 million dirhams.

After its rehabilitation, the capacity of the National Institute of Fine Arts of Agadir will reach 80 students, visual artists and future designers, during the 2025-2026 school year.

This establishment offers three training courses in the undergraduate cycle, namely: visual arts, design and society, as well as the arts of visual narration.

In a statement to the press, the Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, indicated that “the opening of the annex of the national institute of fine arts in Agadir is part of the commitment to strengthen the network of artistic institutions across the Kingdom”. He highlighted the importance of the National Institute of Fine Arts in promoting the national cultural industry.
