“La Matinale” takes to the air in Geneva this Wednesday, with a guide of choice since Odile Clémence, retired teacher and resident of Lajoux, was a guide for Jura Rando. This nature, cooking and Qi gong enthusiast met us in front of the Genevez church, while the trees were still frosty and the mist and sun were playing hide and seek. The Taignone church notably houses stained glass windows by Yves Voirol. A few meters further on, at the height of the Genevez reservoir, the view of the village is clear and you can see the village ski lift. Odile Clémence delights skiers with her “homemade” vols-au-vent. Further down, a valley reveals the path taken by the workers to collect the peat, near the Embreux pond “which has a tendency to become clogged, which is a real shame”, regrets Odile Clémence. “Deer, hares and lots of foxes” thrive in the area. /mmi
