We chose for this Quinté+ the following reference race (Saturday December 14 – Cagnes-sur-MerVarenne Prize – 2925m) in which six competitors were in the running and meet this Wednesday (Happy Danica, Ginkgo Thelois, Eberton, Honky Tonk Blues, Felix du Bourg and Gimy du Pommereux).

Last kilometer -> last 500m

One kilometer from the finish, the ticket takersHappy Danica were already beginning to understand that this was going to go well for the mareAlexis Garandeau. After having benefited from a superb journey in the wake of the animators, the daughter of Briac Dark was only waiting for his pilot’s commands to accelerate 1000 meters from the finish.

Placed in the wake of the facilitator at this moment of the journey, Eberton will find itself blocked when acceleratingHappy Danicabut his behavior was good.

Well placed on a third line in the car of the second layer, Ginkgo Thélois will finish his course well to obtain a good fourth place.

Honky Tonk Blues who was not unshod for the occasion will finish seventh, without creating any illusions, ahead of a disappointing Felix du Bourgonly eighth. For his part, Gimy du Pommereux was found to be at fault and was disqualified from the first meters of the race.

Last 500m -> Finish

500 meters from the finishing post, the finish already seems to be taking shape. The favorite Happy Danica has come to take the advantage and will move towards an authoritative victory.

Launched in third layer by Yannick-Alain Briand, Ginkgo Thélois will perfectly continue his effort to obtain fourth place, not far fromEl Greco Belloa safe bet at this level.

In clear decline, Eberton will settle for sixth place after losing many ranks behind Foster Wood in the opposite line. Honky Tonk Blues finishes very close to him, with his irons, a good omen for the future.

Conclusion

Happy Danica was a logical favorite and did not disappoint her many takers after having benefited from a great course and being barefoot. For this Wednesday’s Quinté, it will only be tackled with all four feet but should still fight for the first places.

Ginkgo Thélois always responds and should still give his maximum, without margin.

Eberton will not always be unlucky and could well end up in the right combination, likeHonky Tonk Blues who will be barefoot this time, a configuration in which he has never disappointed.
