It’s an announcement that should bring back many playground memories for people in their thirties and forties. The Diddl mouse brand will make its big return to at the beginning of October. To the delight of some.

Through her colorful and fragrant stationery, her personal notebooks and her soft toys, she left her mark on an entire generation of children. It was founded in 1990 by German illustrator Thomas Goletz and enjoyed resounding success in the early 2000s in France. Before disappearing in 2010, facing sluggish sales.

“Transmitting this tender and colorful universe to a new generation”

The Kontiki company, distributor of famous brands, licenses and cultural products, has chosen to bet on its return. “This timeless brand has left its mark on millions of French people. We want to bring together fans from the beginning and give them the opportunity to pass on this tender and colorful universe to a new generation. Diddl is much more than a mouse: it’s an intergenerational link“, explained Pierre-Marin Calemard, general manager of Kontiki, at the Maison et Objets show in on January 16. The brand is therefore counting on the transmission of former aficionados of the brand to their children.

This new collection, entitled “Diddl is back”, will be available in stores and online. It will consist of its flagship stationery products (scented notepads, diaries, notebooks, jewelry box), writing products (pens, colored pencils, eraser, pencil case), luggage (backpack, kits, pouches), cosmetic products (varnish, lip gloss). All this with an original design which will still be inspired by the classics of the time. Soft toys will also be offered again, “made from 100% recycled and recyclable fibers“, specifies the distributor, while specifying that “the whole will be manufactured in China”.

Limited editions which should delight early fans will also be marketed.
