Ralff Therance, director, and Armel Mboumba, producer and manager of the Forge, have been working together for several months to advance the writing of the script for the film project “Rap of the Forest”, mobilize and collect filming funds as well as finalize its realization. In this context, last year they benefited from coaching and rewards as part of the film incubation program based in Cameroon, Alaka film lab.

Upon the announcement of this news by Fespaco, the duo Ralff Therance and Armel Mboumba feel proud and grateful to take part once again in this meeting as a director-producer pair in order to bring their project to fruition. “ They were selected for the Yennenga co-production workshop during the 29e edition, which will take place from February 22 to 1is March 2025 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Feature film currently in production, “Rap of the Forest” is a work that aims to break stereotypes and offer an authentic perspective on the lives of indigenous peoples, particularly through the prism of music and culture. The workshops will begin at the launch of Fespaco which is being held this year on the theme “African cinemas and cultural identities ».

This important meeting, which is being held with around twenty producers and fund representatives from Africa and the world, will offer the opportunity to the fourteen leaders of feature-length fiction film projects to present them, find partners and establish relationships. commercial links for their films.
