Cinémas Guzzo announced the permanent closure of two of its branches on Monday.

The Méga-Plex Marché Central 18, located in Montreal on Boulevard Crémazie, and the Méga-Plex Saint-Jean 12, in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, closed their doors on Monday, we can read in a press release of the company.

“This extremely difficult decision is necessary to ensure the sustainability of our family business, following the challenges imposed by the global health crisis in recent years,” said Cinémas Guzzo. And this, despite all the efforts made by the team and our colleagues to find solutions.”

The company also indicated that it would implement “concrete measures” to strengthen its “financial stability” and improve its services.
