Cannes residents, don’t miss Daniel Auteuil’s masterclass

This meeting will be followed, at 8:45 p.m., by the screening of the film The Wellman’s Daughter, directed by Daniel Auteuil. This event, exclusively reserved for residents, is accessible by invitation only.

Invitations will be distributed to Cannes residents on Saturday January 25 at 9 a.m., in the Marianne lounge at the Town Hall, upon presentation of proof of Cannes address.
Distribution will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.

Since last September, Cannes Town Hall, in collaboration with local associations, has launched a major cultural program to celebrate, throughout the year 2024/2025, the timeless work of Marcel Pagnol, on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his disappearance and the 130e anniversary of his birth.

If there is a Marcel Pagnol enthusiast in the world of entertainment, it is Daniel Auteuil. The career of the famous actor and director was notably marked by his role as Ugolin Soubeyran in the successful films Manon des sources and Jean de Florettea performance for which he received the César for best actor in 1987.
