A famous K-pop group, Ateez, seen in the streets of Lyon: their fans camp outside

They are part of the vague phenomenon of Korean K-pop: the group Ateez was seen in the streets of Lyon on Friday January 17, 2025 on the eve of the concert scheduled for Saturday evening at the LDLC Arena in Décines-Charpieu.

The group treated themselves to a little rest and sightseeing just before meeting thousands of fans this evening. Fans, some of whom have been waiting for hours in front of the performance hall, despite the cold.

Tourism in the streets before the concert

Yunho, Seonghwa, San, Yeosang, Hongjoong, Wooyoung, Jongho and Mingi, the eight members of the group, arrived in Lyon on Friday. One of its members, Wooyoung, published several photos on his Instagram account (3.3 million subscribers). You can see him in photos in the streets of Lyon: on the banks of the Rhône at La Guillotière, on the Guillotière bridge, in front of the Hôtel Dieu or enjoying macaroons.

Many fans are already camping in front of the LDCL Arena

Like fans of Mylène Farmer or Taylor Swift during previous concerts, Ateez’s most loyal followers also camp hours before the concert to ensure the best place in the room. Dozens of fans, survival blankets on their backs, have already been waiting for hours this Saturday in front of the LDLC Arena.

Many fans who purchased a “VIP ticket” queued and waited outside the venue as the concert began at 7:30 p.m.

The Lyon date of the boy band Ateez is the first of its tour in Europe, resulting in very strong enthusiasm from fans who will come from all over the country.
