In the media libraries of Quimper, unusual meetings

The media libraries of Quimper Western Brittany are honoring heritage and science fiction from January to April 2025. Two highlights will mark this period: Les Nuits de la lecture and Les Mycéliades.

Reading Nights

The national event Les nuits de la lecture will be relayed at the Alain-Gérard media library on January 23 and 25. Planned: a multilingual open stage and a secret behind-the-scenes tour of the media library.

The public will also be invited to An embroidered feastconcocted by a student collective of the same name, on January 25 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

“We will invite participants to sit around a table to share a meal with us. During the feast, we will listen to podcasts and discuss memories from the future… And we will embroider the tablecloth! »

Myceliads

Les Mycéliades is also a national event organized from 1^is to February 16. The theme: (artificial) Intelligences. Meet at the Alain-Gérard media library for screenings, a cinema debate and workshops.

You can also see the exhibition there Our memories of the Futureput together by a collective of artists, from 1^is February to March 2. “There will be music, photography, comics, drawing, engraving… But above all a video game specially created for the event by Silver, a member of the collective! », explains Noura Joy.
