After having won over more than 16 million spectators in 42 countries, the Disney show on Ice A World of Dreams stopped in France.
In the audience, a horde of princesses as tall as three apples wear, with beating hearts, the crowns of Cinderella and the Snow Queen. They also came to see Rapunzel, Vaïana, Snow White. Because on the ice, Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy revive memories. “It reminds me of all the Disney films” sums up an amateur. For two hours, more than 50 skating artists illustrate key passages from Disney tales.
The scenes follow one another at a frantic pace with aerial numbers, like Rapunzel twirling in her ribbons. The speed at which the skater turns is impressive. “I found that they performed incredible feats on the first part and some breathtaking dances, explains a young 10-year-old spectator. We see that they weren’t dizzy, so they must be practicing a lot!” Some adults in the audience, skating specialists, also marveled: “We saw double salchows, double toe loops, double flips and even a double axel! It made my day!”
When asked which heroine dances the best, a mermaid wins the most votes. “I think it’s Arieldecrees a little girl. Her jumps are very beautiful when she clings to the net. She was on a rope, it was impressive, at any moment if she let go she could seriously injure herself. They’re doing tricks, it’s nice.”
More than 250 costumes parade before our eyes. As Laurent Voulzy would say in Rock-collection: “It glitters like hell in the decor !” A mother smiles: “It gives a little magic, it feels good.”
Among the special effects, fire. He covers the ice with Frozen, also ranked well in the applause meter. “Is Frozen at the North Pole?” worries a little girl. The film takes place in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle, inspired in particular by the city of Bergen, in Norway. But the show also takes you to Mexico and Polynesia.
