It was already in the Arcachon basin that he presented this new album this fall, with a private concert in his bar-restaurant Pestacle, on the port of La Teste-de-Buch. Besides, quite a few of his songs talk about here, at home, the Basin, the beaches, the bars, friends, but not only that. Like this fall, he opened his concert this week with “Adieu”, a song about his breakup with Olympic swimmer and mother of his children Laure Manaudou.
Afterwards, with his three musicians on stage, he also brought the audience to their feet with a string of hits including his latest single, “Gamins des sables” which gave the title to the album. And also with the cover of the Niagara hit, “Love on the Beach”.
Jérémy Frérot had, before these two concerts, done a residency at the Miroir, just to run the show before the big tour.
Indeed, he is now on the road for a long time with a series of concerts which will take him until the end of May from Biscarrosse to Lille, from Toulouse to Besançon via Brussels. This tour will then resume in the fall on September 6 in Villars-les-Dombes in a room nicely named “The Bird Park” until December 13 at the Palais des congrès du Touquet. These dates are often full (Dax, Biscarrosse obviously, but also Béthune, la Cigale in Paris, or even the Théâtre de Chartes).
