Established for 30 years in Colomiers, the Arpalhands association offers children and adults workshops of all levels, with: the practice of multiple instruments (Irish violin, harp, etc.), but also traditional dances and songs (Occitan, Celtic , and other world music).
Its numerous musical groups, notably “Tradivarium” (an ensemble music group led by Rémi Geffroy), also perform throughout Occitanie… and beyond! This evening, Saturday January 18 from 9 p.m. at the Salle Gascogne, Rémi Geoffroy, a talented, creative and energetic young diatonic accordionist, will lead his group (with more than 35 musicians).
This Grand Bal Trad d’Arpalhands always launches the new year in Colomiers with its traditional and “danceable” music. It will be open to everyone, novice or seasoned dancers, but also of course, to anyone wishing to discover music, joyful and catchy songs and dances: the legendary relaxed conviviality of Arpalhands will draw them onto the floor, through the magic of a varied repertoire including traditional music, original compositions, and film music reinterpreted to put them at the service of dance.
