The 2024-2025 cultural season of the Henri-Molina White Pavilion, which focuses on the notion of “Culture of living”, is divided into three distinct programs. “Cohabiting with the living”, the first phase, ended last December. Friday January 23 and Saturday January 24 will be inaugurated the second phase entitled “Becoming a city” to study the place of nature in urban spaces and dream of the city tomorrow.
Activities to celebrate this launch are planned, including the inauguration of the new exhibition accompanied by a visit and meeting with the artist, creative workshops, a sound and light show, readings, stories and a big quiz.
On Friday at 7 p.m., the artist Clément Richem will offer a tour of the “Becoming city” exhibition. This will be followed by an exchange with Fabrice Escaffre, university professor in spatial planning and urban planning, and Bertille Darragon, botany presenter and essayist, around nature in the city. At 8:30 p.m., the Firelight company will close this evening with an “Optical Opera”, a futuristic show combining lights and sounds.
Several workshops
Saturday will revolve around several workshops. From 11 a.m., the graphic designer duo Bureau Bleu will host the “Grand fresco of the city”.
At 3 p.m., Clément Richem himself will offer to build a model and create stop-motion (volume animation). And continuously, all day long, interested people will be able to build their ideal house and thus continue the construction of an imaginary city started the day before.
-Readings and stories will also be offered, including, at 5:15 p.m., “Les Elles de la forêt”, a musical tale of anticipation.
Not forgetting the big White Pavilion Night quiz where visitors will be invited to test their knowledge on the themes of ecology and biodiversity. The game, with prizes up for grabs, will take place in several sessions every hour from 3:30 p.m. The final and the prize giving will take place at 7:30 p.m.
At 8 p.m., students from the Municipal Conservatory will perform in concert and in a musical reading.
The programming for this launch time is open to all and completely free.
