Under the dim lights, journalists, art critics and lovers of plastic art discovered, last night, “Traversées, 30 years of creation”, the new exhibition by Monia Touiss. After the success of “L’espace d’un instant…” in 2022, the artist returns with a retrospective which invites us to explore his plastic and aesthetic universe, rich in three decades of creativity.
In a sober and elegant staging, around thirty works, all imbued with the sensitivity of Monia Touiss, were presented to the eye. Each canvas represents a fragment of Monia Touiss’s singular imagination. The opening of this colorful exhibition was an opportunity for visitors to discuss his brilliant career with the artist: training at the School of Fine Arts in Tetouan, the prestigious Mariano Bertuchi prize in 1992, then a doctorate obtained in Barcelona in 2000.
Between childhood memories and travels around the world, the works of Monia Touiss capture a vision of the world where everything mixes: figures, eras, landscapes and sensations. Absolutely worth discovering.
