The latter was present with one of the actresses from her film, her sister Oulaya Amamra. The two women from Viry-Chatillon thus marking their “long” friendship with Hella Kribi-Romdhane, opposition municipal councilor and regional councilor (Generation. s).
“Hella has been very important in my associative journey,” salutes Houda Benyamina. She is not just a politician who talks, she is also a woman on the ground, with convictions. From Divines to a free adaptation of The Three Musketeers
Houda Benyamina, director and screenwriter awarded a Caméra d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016 and three Césars for her first film Divines, met Hella Kribi-Romdhane more than 20 years ago. “From 2005 to 2007, I was head of the youth, citizenship and decentralized cooperation department at Viry-Chatillon town hall,” rewinds Hella Kribi-Romdhane. I asked Houda to produce a spot to encourage young people to register on the electoral lists before the 2007 presidential election. The two women have not left each other since. “She launched 1,000 Faces straight away, and obviously I supported her,” continues Hella Kribi-Romdhane. Thanks to this association, the doors of cinema are opening to young people. For roles, but also for technical professions (Editor’s note: since its creation in 2006, more than 5,000 people have benefited from its training). She has incredible talent. »

“I have always been a fan of swashbuckling films,” confides the director. Except I had trouble identifying myself. I told myself that the values of loyalty, courage and dedication could absolutely be carried by women. »
