Paul Arcand finally accepted the invitation to Marc Labrèche and was one of the recent guests of I come to you. Moreover, it was during his presence on the set of the talk show that he confided having already intimidated the father of the host, either Gaétan Labrèche.
A confession made after Marc asked him if, when he was younger, he was indignant about certain things!
“Marc, I did lots of things, I intimidated your father,” he replied.
This story goes back several years, to the time when Arcand was a student in Saint-Hyacinthe. He and his group of demonstrators had chosen to block the school doors to defend their rights, particularly in relation to the loans and scholarships to which they did not have access.
Marc’s father, who was a theater teacher at the time, came from Montreal to teach. However, he clearly did not appreciate the situation and would have used his great acting skills to denounce the practices of the small group.
“We decided unilaterally to block access (…) So there, he opens the car door, he looks at us, we look at him and we say to him: Well, you’re not coming in! He insults us. (…) An acting performance there: But who are you to stop me from coming home?,” revealed Paul.
A very entertaining slice of life where Marc also recognized his father in the caricatured way in which Paul described his words, revealing that he also spoke to him in a very theatrical way at the time.
