Jean Echenoz was born in Orange, in Vaucluse, in 1947. Prix Médicis 1983 for CherokeeGoncourt Prize 1999 for I’m leavinghe is the author of around twenty titles, novels, short stories and operas. All of his work is published by Éditions de Minuit. His new book, Bristol, follows the adventures of a filmmaker who goes to shoot a film in the south of the African continent.
