The Artiteiz theater troupe will occupy the stage of the Passerelle in Thiex-Noyalo with its new play: “The return of Richard III by the 9:24 a.m. train”. It is not a Shakespearean tragedy, but a family banquet organized by Pierre-Henri (PH for short) who made his fortune in communications. He has just learned that medicine has doomed him in the short term. He brings his close family together for therapy in his country house, his wife, sister, friends and long-lost children.
This rereading of the past will quickly turn into a settling of scores, with everyone going into their acerbic diatribe towards the patriarch. PH, accustomed to masterfully controlling everything, will gradually lose his footing in this attempt to seek forgiveness. The piece, funny at times, is also very moving. It highlights the difficulties of achieving unanimity within one’s own family, where misunderstandings and misunderstandings follow one another. The play was crowned in Avignon in 2022 and 2023. It also received a nomination for the 2023 Molières for best comedy.
