-7.3°C in Salon and Avignon, a still very cold morning this Tuesday

As expected, the night and morning were very cold in Provence. Météo-France, Aix branch, recorded -7.3°C in Avignon and Salon this Tuesday. These are not records but rather temperatures well below seasonal averages for the first part of January.

In the Aix region, the mercury dropped to -5.5°C. In the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, the thermometer marked -2.2°C in Valensole and even -7.7°C in the town of Dauphin. In Marseille, we almost have the impression that it was hot with 0.9°C! So no negative temperature in the Phocaean city but a cold well felt all the same.

This Wednesday morning, we should still be dealing with negative mercury almost everywhere inland.
