Several testimonies from children who left the colony before the roundup of April 6, 1944 were collected by Maison d’Izieu in 2002. It is from these that Michal Laznovsky and Frederika Smetana created the piece. Around a table, three actors bring to life the memories of Alfred, Alexandre, Paul, Samuel and Hélène, former children of Izieu. The staging is punctuated by sounds and music that bring this unique story to life. The essence of the show lies in their words which must be transmitted, with respect and authenticity. After the play, Samuel Pintel will take the stage to deliver his testimony live and answer questions from the audience.
