The museum of the Lebanese painter and sculptor Ezzat Mezher, in Naamé in Chouf, has been included in the list of national museums in Lebanon, announced the outgoing Minister of Culture, Mohammad Mourtada, in a press release on Sunday.
The decision, taken on December 30, 2024, was well received by artistic and cultural circles, as well as by the director of the establishment, Samar Ataya Mezher, reports the National Information Agency (ANI, official).

Born April 26, 1947 and died December 14, 2009, Ezzat Mezher was known for his work in sculpture and painting. He obtained a decoration diploma at the Lebanese University in 1966, before leaving for France where he trained in painting and sculpture. He returned to Lebanon in 1974 and worked as a professor of visual arts at the Lebanese University until his death.
