The Maison des sports is moving

Sport. “We are going to rethink the Sports House which hosts around thirty sports committees and the CDOS (Departmental Olympic and Sports Committee),” indicated President Leboeuf.

“I am announcing this evening, to all the athletes of Vendée, that the Maison des sports, located today on Boulevard Briand, will be moved and we will build a new one, in Oudairies, near the headquarters of Sdis (Departmental Fire Service). and emergency) and the departmental laboratory. This House will have visibility from the Georges Duval roundabout and easy access to the Napoléon Vendée interchange. »

The choice of the architect will be made in the coming months.

On the agenda, 1^is and March 2, the French cross-country championships in Challans, but also the French cycling championships in Les Herbiers on June 26 and 29.

Culture. In 2025, the essentials will be back, with the baroque music festival in the gardens of William Christie, Musiques au logis at La Chabotterie, the Newfoundland theater festival, Christmas events…

Routes. €51 million will be invested in the network. The RD 11 between Les Herbiers and Les Epesses will be completed this year “for the millions of visitors to our jewel that is Puy du Fou”.

Studies for a third route will continue for the RD6 between Aizenay and Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, as well as for the RD 938 Ter between Fontenay-le-Comte and Ile-d’Elle.

The abandoned Mareuil diversion

Work to secure the town will be carried out instead. In return, “the raising of the bridge on the access ramp to Aubigny will allow exceptional convoys to no longer cross the town of Mareuil-sur-Lay and to take the Moutiers-les-Mauxfaits diversion”.

Colleges. €68 million will be devoted to repairs to 17 middle schools. Starting with the Auguste and Jean Renoir college in La Roche-sur-Yon, completely rehabilitated, and the Pierre-Garcie-Ferrande college in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, expanded.

Connected Vendée

Childhood. Faced with the increase in the number of children taken care of by child welfare (1,750 children, + 250 in two years), €98 million has been earmarked to accommodate them.

A new branch of the Children’s Home (24 places) will be opened in Fontenay-le-Comte at the end of the year. Two other structures for siblings will be created in La Genétouze (30 places) and Sèvremont (30 places).
