The Opéra en Campagne association’s project is on track.

The Nogent-le-Rotrou structure (Eure-et-Loir) signed a civic service agreement with Jade Brulé, Tuesday January 7, 2025, in its new premises located at 1, rue Gustave-Lebon.

This important step will further accelerate its actions in favor of culture.

Recent, the association does not yet have the necessary approval to host a civic service. So this contract was able to see the light of day thanks to the Eure-et-Loir Education Leaguewhich accompanies structures in this framework.

Thanks to intermediation, we allow an association to host a civic service for a period of six to nine months.

Adèle Venard, representative of the Eure-et-Loir Education League

She will also be the contact person for Jade Brulé.

A civic service won on the gong for Opéra en Campagne in Nogent-le-Rotrou

“We’ve been working on it since October,” recalls Martine Bossion-Choquetpresident of the association.

As of November 28, 2024, an announcement describing the missions was published on the page Facebook of Opera in the countryside.

The objectives were clear: contribute to the organization and promotion of cultural eventslead cultural mediation activities, or even promote the association in the region, for a period extending from January to June.

However, it was not all plain sailing. “We were very lucky: it is one of the last civic service conventions accepted in 2024,” explains the president.

A student from Nogent on contract

It was Jade Brulé, originally from Nogent-le-Rotrou, who finally responded to the offer.

I did my second and first at Rémi-Belleau high school before continuing my final year in , where I then obtained a degree in art history and archaeology. »

“In September, I will start a professional license in cultural mediation“, she says. This civic service was therefore timely.

Its mission within Opéra en Campagne will be to “contribute to the democratization of different forms of arts and artistic expressions”.

Democratizing opera in Nogent

In practice, it must develop the association’s projectensure the link between volunteers and partners, manage communication and get involved in cultural mediation activities.

Jade will also have to carry out cultural mediation. In other words, “making things more accessible, more available”, underlines Martine Bossion-Choquet. Allow people from Nogent to turn to this art even though they would not have done so initially. The initial objective is clear: democratize opera in Nogentbefore expanding to other cities.

During her civic service, Jade will also benefit from a first aid training and civic and citizenship training, with the Education League, “which ensures in-depth monitoring”, recalls Adèle Venard.

A reinforcement trainee

At the same time, Opera in the countryside welcomes another temporary reinforcement. Jad Gamhiouensecond year student, administrative management section at Rémi-Belleau high school, is doing a three-week internship within the association.

Proof that the structure also opens up to local youth.
