The affair had almost overshadowed the competition. In January 2024, when season thirteen of “Dancing with the Stars” was about to be launched on February 16 on TF1, rehearsals were in full swing between the selected celebrities and their respective dancers in preparation for the first prime. Among them, Inès Reg and Natasha St-Pier. While the first was training with Christophe Licata at Studios Keral, in Malakoff, in Hauts-de-Seine, her colleague came several times to ask them to lower the sound of the music because she could not hear the questions from the journalist who was interviewing him in the next room.

The couple complies but shortly after, it is the comedian’s turn to ask the Quebec singer and her partner Anthony Colette to turn their song down. Subsequently explaining that he wanted to make a joke in reference to a sequence in “Pékin Express”, the interpreter of “You will find” had insulted the actress of “petite sal*pe“. What followed was a falling out between the four protagonists with even more violent exchanges occurring subsequently and a handrail filed by Natasha St-Pier and Anthony Colette against Inès Reg.

After weeks of twists and turns, viewers mainly supported the singer who won “Dancing with the Stars” on April 26 while her opponent finally finished third. Nine months after the end of this show and while a new season is fast approaching, one of the protagonists in the affair has spoken out. Christophe Licata was interviewed at length by “Le Parisien” this Friday January 10, 2025 while the former dancer of Inès Reg is releasing a book, entitled “Révélation(s)”, which will be published on January 13 by Leduc editions. The 38-year-old looked back on his journey in “DALS”. He is the only one to have never missed a season until this last one which made him suffer a lot.
“What happened was ridiculous and caused so much pain to everyone for nothing.“, he begins before confiding that, for him, Natasha St-Pier and Anthony Colette should not have been crowned. “We experienced injustice. We had the best grades with Inès. There was a big gap with the others. […] We were the best, period.“Christophe Licata also denounced the behavior of the dancers and candidates from last season:”It was similar to school bullying“, he regretted. Before revealing that he had been attacked one evening on the public highway: “On my way home from rehearsals, I was attacked in the street. People fell on me and started hitting me. Fortunately, witnesses intervened and scared them away.“
Will Christophe Licata be back in “Dancing with the Stars” in 2025?
However, fans of the dancer can rest assured, he will be back in 2025: “Thirteen seasons, I thought it was good. But ending on something like the Inès-Natasha affair left me with a bad aftertaste. However, in November, when production called me to come back, I initially refused. And when they introduced me to the personality with whom they were asking me to dance, and whose identity I won’t reveal to you, I was touched to the heart.“So who is it? Answer in the coming weeks.
