Can we be satisfied with the sound trace of a multimedia show? This is sometimes the case, and it is for Magma, new album from bassist and double bassist Sébastien Pittet, aka Wanu. Here we have the live recording of an experiment carried out in September 2023 at the Maison des Moines in Romainmôtier: Pittet improvised on different electric basses, the sound of which was broadcast by Mathias Durand via an acousmonium (an “orchestra” of speakers arranged and activated in a skilful way to create an immersion effect). On this sheet of waves also intervened the singer and vocal performer Saadet Türköz and the designer Sébastien Guenot, who sketched live.
