A comedy club where comedians sit at the table. At least, they come to test themselves or be (re)discovered – while the spectators delight in gourmet cuisine – before some then come to chat at your table. A cozy, bright and friendly place imagined by his partner and graphic artist Emilie Salik, who called on the local interior design office (Studio Soho).
As for the menu, it was concocted between GuiHome and Julien Malaisse, starred chef of the restaurant “Pré de chez vous”. With local products, this chef – elected Young Chef of the Year in February 2024 by the Michelin Guide – signs the two-course (35 euros) or three-course (45 euros) menu, while his former sous-chef Tamara Truyts takes the reins of the kitchen as chef of “Chez Guillaume”. Its menu, in hyperconnected brunch-coworking mode during the day and in relaxed gastro-comedy club mode in the evening, will evolve with the seasons. “With “Chez Guillaume”, I want to offer much more than just a restaurant or Comedy Club”, assure GuiHome. I want to create a place where people come to enjoy themselves, laugh, and above all share unforgettable moments. Namur deserves a place that resembles it: warm, surprising and unifying!” And to add : “We even installed speakers in the toilets, so as not to miss any of the jokes (smile) !”

Big dishes for the first time
“A place where humor reserves its table and the cuisine plays the game!” can we hear as the slogan of this new “place to laugh” in Namur. A former burger restaurant transformed into an “L” shaped performance hall, a real challenge to combine a cocktail of laughter and taste pleasures. “I couldn’t stick to the food, tells us the young entrepreneur GuiHome. A real challenge to have been able to put this together in just two months. The frames and toilet bins only arrived yesterday!”
On the menu for the opening of “Chez Guillaume”? Two comedians who turned the stage and the guests’ dishes on their head. Starting with the Belgian-Cameroonian Sarah Lélé – whom we followed in Kinshasa – who is a hit wherever she goes with her humor which sifts through the clash of cultures. “Namur is renowned for being one of the worst cities to make people laugh.” jokes, with a smile, the young 22-year-old comedian who is already seducing Paris. But his punchlines nevertheless hit the mark in the Walloon capital. Just like Pierre-Emmanuel aka PE, excited as hell at the idea of participating in this official opening. He will also not fail to tackle – on entering and leaving the stage – a local show organizer with whom he has financial disputes. But it was above all a certain Georges-Louis Bouchez who got his due in this evening where the audience was notably made up of local politicians and members… of the Engagés. We laugh about it and we ask for more!
Many young talents from the Belgian comedy scene will also perform at “Chez Guillaume”: Sacha Ferra, Mel et Alba, Ilona, Serine Ayari, Freddy Tougaux, Nicolas Lacroix, Dena, Florent Losson, James Deano, Nikoz and Juan ou again a certain Hugues Hamelynck, new theater teacher at the Star Academy. In short, (gastronomic) laughter guaranteed!
