To change views on disability and raise public awareness at the same time, the Lions Avenir club of Saint-Pierre and the Territorial Collectivity are offering a screening of the film “Le panache” at the CCS this Sunday, January 12. A moving film by Jennifer Delvodere about accepting differences and surpassing oneself.
This is the story of Colin, a 14-year-old teenager who is scared at the idea of starting a new school. Colin is a stutterer and fears being teased by others. However, he discovered his passion for theater through Cyrano de Bergerac and it was his French teacher, played by José Garcia, who helped him gain self-confidence and surpass himself.

In this film released on November 20, director Jennifer Delvodere wanted to take an actor who really stutters to bring authenticity. Because just like his character, the young Joachim Arseguel experienced mockery and harassment. And acting in this film helped him profoundly. “For the first time in my life, stuttering brought me things, became a strength, an asset, and I understood that it was, in a certain way, part of my identity. Today, I cope very well with my stuttering” he declared in the media.
At a time when the notion of inclusion is regularly in the news, this feature film demonstrates the importance of changing our outlook on invisible disability and more broadly on difference.
-We will talk about differences, inclusion but also talk about teaching methods.
