Tarn. The winter jazz event returns to Albi with more than 90 artists

The jazz returns in the heart of winter to bleach (Tarn). From January 26 to 1^is February 2025, another attraction will replace the Ferris wheel on the square in front of the Grand Théâtre. The Magic Mirrors marquee. Sign that theAlbi Jazz festival will be there for a sixth edition.

Free jazz under the big top

Jazz in Albi is jazz, free, at noon and in the evening, under a big topconcerts in unusual places in town with the music conservatory, a vinyl fair, lots of films. But of course it is also the big names who make the trip.

From bandoneon to noise

On the program, we will particularly note the Louise Jallu Quartetthe group of the bandionist of the same name, emblematic figure of “nuevo tango”, on January 26. But also, Eve Risser and Alexandra Grimal for a tribute to Carla Bley and Charlie Haden interspersed with their compositions and the Nooh band (100% Toulouse), January 29.

On January 30, we will find, for example, the saxophonist Hugues Mayot or the explosive trio Nuton the borders of jazz and noise with flute, drums and harp.

A blues prodigy and sure values

On January 31, the celebrates Louis Slave Quintet will travel with India, before the Incandescent Orchestra by Sylvaine Hélary. Finally, the 1^is February, the saxophonist Geraldine LaurentVictoire du Jazz in 2021 will precede the emerging bluesman on stage Jontavious Willisalready nominated for a Grammy Award.

With as a prelude, through the department, the singer Leïla Martial and cellist Valentin Ceccaldiwho will play Barbara, like Fauré. Or jazz of course.
