The Last of Us (Max): a furious teaser and a release date for season 2

The second season of The Last of Us will be launched next April on Max, as Sony announced during the CES 2025 conference in Las Vegas. And to accompany the news, HBO has unveiled an exciting new teaser for this sequel to the series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey.

A teaser for fans

Fans of The Last of Us Partie IIthe Naughty Dogs video game created by Neil Druckmann, will be titillated from the first seconds of these new images which show Abby (Kaitlyn Dever), new central character of this season 2, strolling in the corridor of a hospital to the sound of 'a shrill alarm. Some of them have actually spent a lot of time in this corridor.

Several new protagonists join the troop of The Last of Us for this second season, the action of which takes place five years after the events of season 1. In addition to Abby, fans of the game will be delighted to see Dina (Isabela Merced) and Isaac Dixon (Jeffrey Wright) come to life in this trailer.

According to the official synopsis of these new episodes, season 2 of The Last of Us will show Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey) as they are “in conflict with each other in a world even more dangerous and unpredictable than the one they left behind.”

Pascal and Ramsey will also star alongside Catherine O'Hara (in the role of a therapist), Danny Ramirez (Manny), Tati Gabrielle (Nora), Young Mazino (Jesse), Ariela Barer (Mel) and Spencer Lord (Owen ) in this season 2. Gabriel Luna (Tommy) and Rutina Wesley (Maria) are also back in the cast.

While waiting to know the precise date in April this season 2 will arrive, the first nine episodes of The Last of Us can be seen or rewatched on the Max streaming platform.
