New year, new chances – slim, it’s true – of becoming rich. This Monday, Française des jeux (FDJ) unveiled two scratch games, which are available from January 6 at the usual points of sale. The opportunity for the operator to diversify its already plethoric offering.
The first game, «New Astro»offers to scratch stars, to possibly win a prize if two identical astrological signs are found. A second game, on the same card, allows you to obtain another gain, if “two identical qualities” are present under the stars. “If you discover the element associated with your sign under the constellation twice, you win the associated gain”adds the FDJ. Sold for two euros, this game allows you to win up to 25,000 euros, with a chance in 3.2 of winning a prize.
The second game, «Maxi Astro»is worth more. For five euros, it offers a chance in 3.41 of winning a prize, with a maximum winnings of 500,000 euros. Players must scratch a wheel containing the different astrological signs, such as Aries or Gemini: if the player finds the corresponding astrological sign under it, he wins the associated prize. In addition, finding the same astrological sign three times allows you to win another prize. At the same time, the player can, in a third game on the same card, scratch moons: “If you discover more stars than planets, you win the sum of 50 euros”explains the FDJ. Finally, a fourth game asks the player to scratch three boxes, associated with love, success and fitness. “If you discover a heart, you win the associated gain”notes the company.

«Bingo», «Mission Nature», «Star Max», «Crescendo», “Fetish Number”, «Banco»… These two new tickets join the already large range of scratch games sold by the FDJ. Many French people benefit from it: last year, the FDJ recorded a net profit of 425 million euros, a very strong increase of 38% compared to a year earlier. Enough to also replenish the coffers of the State, shareholder of the group with 21%.
