Mark Wahlberg totally agrees with all these enthusiastic reactions. Yet when he had the script in his hands, he saw things differently, as he revealed in an interview with Total Film (via CBS News): “I tried to read the script. I couldn’t understand the words, the dialogues or anything else. Then I saw the film. I was like, ‘Holy shit, JJ Abrams did a great job.’“.

But when this realization took place, it was unfortunately too late for Chris Pine (Captain Kirk), Zachary Quinto (Spock) and Zoe Saldaña (Lieutenant Nyota Uhura) to join the troop.
