Next May, the Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Switzerland, in Basel, in a grandiose setting, inspired by the Alps and the cultural riches of the country. This first return to the country since 1989, we owe it to Nemo, who won with his song “The Code”, on May 11, 2024 in Sweden.
The artist from Bienne took stock of this year that “I could not have even imagined in my wildest dreams”. On his social networks, Nemo writes: “Thank you for expanding my mind and fostering my resilience and my curiosity, my growth in pain and in joy. Thank you to all the lovely human beings who have been a part of this remarkable 12 months.”
The 25-year-old performer chose twenty key points illustrated by as many photos. Like hiking with his father on January 5th, completely unaware of what was going to happen soon. The filming of the music video for “The Code”, his first attempt at jumping on the prototype top, which was the essential element of his stage performance in Malmö. His victory at Eurovision, of course, where he broke the codes and the trophy. Then what followed: her appearance at London Fashion Week in an inflatable dress and a sold-out tour. The year 2024, the year Nemo gave “the most hugs”.
Finally, the Swiss artist mentions an album for 2025, without further details. A first extract could be revealed during Eurovision in Basel, where Nemo should perform, as is tradition.
