Since this weekend, and in particular the night from Sunday to Monday, the department has been placed on yellow alert by the Moselle prefecture. This color indicates risks of “Snow-Ice” and “Extreme Cold”. Temperatures will drop to -3 degrees tonight. The light drizzle falling on the frozen ground in the south of the Paris basin heads towards Alsace, and therefore Lorraine. Untreated sidewalks and roadways will be slippery for several hours, especially tonight.
