Adam Copeland thinks fans will have a hard time accepting John Cena’s retirement

Recently interviewed by Screen Rant, Adam Copeland, now known as Cope in AEW, spoke about John Cena’s retirement. The man who was once called Edge in WWE is one of Cena’s biggest rivals. He believes that the 16-time world champion has already accepted the idea of retirement and that “it will be more difficult for the fans to accept it”.

Adam Copeland tells us:

“We were talking quickly when he came back and I was with WWE. He asked me, ‘How do you do that, man? You play 30-minute matches and everything.” We didn’t talk about retirement or anything like that. John thought about it, he considered every scenario, every possible direction and all those things.

He’s a smart man, so I’m sure he’s already given up on this idea and I think he’s been thinking about it for a long time. I think it will be harder for fans to accept, which is often the case.”

We remind you that John Cena will begin his farewell tour during the first WWE RAW on Netflix, this Monday, January 6, 2025.
