French cuisine is in the spotlight at “Au coin gourmand”! Located in Draveil, the establishment was recently taken over by Audrey. “I studied in the catering field before working for many years in the capital,” recalls the young thirty-year-old who fulfilled a childhood dream by taking over this business. “This is the opportunity that presented itself. I had always had in the back of my mind to have my own restaurant. It’s now done,” continues the original Vigneusienne.
A menu for less than €25
Located in the town center of Essonne, this establishment offers an adapted menu depending on seasonality. “We attach great importance to working with local, regional, and even national producers in order to introduce as many taste buds as possible to French gastronomy,” continues Audrey while emphasizing that the establishment also offers original cocktails at the restaurant. image of the Fleur de Spritz or the Moscow Mule.
In the dessert section, the lemon tart is also regularly popular. “Our desire is really to offer a restricted card, accessible to many budgets with an average slate of 22.50 euros for the menu,” underlines the restaurateur while also recalling that the wines offered are exclusively those of small French producers. The card will also delight pun lovers.
A coin pizzeria
Made up of a team of six people including Audrey, Sandy, Céline, Chris, Michel and Adnan, the restaurant has a capacity ofaround fifty seats in the dining room and has many advantages with its double terrace and also its pizzeria “Au coin pizza” which offers pizzas from 14 euros on the same concept as the restaurant with compositions that smell good of the terroir such as Périgourdine, Brie de Meaux or even Auvergnate.
“As with the restaurant, our pizzas are only made from fresh produce” insists Audrey. Coming to “Au coin gourmand” means discovering a crossroads of flavors which will delight all generations who will be able to enjoy burgers, pancakes, but also dishes with seasonal sauces. “Our menu changes regularly. We are entering the winter period and the Savoyard fondue will be in the spotlight,” comments the Essonnienne.
If many extension projects are planned for the future, the young restaurateur wants to make her establishment a must in the north of the department. “Like what is in Paris, the idea is to ensure that our restaurant can appeal to workers in the sector, families and all fans, fond and curious of our gastronomy. », slips Audrey specifying that the establishment, easy to access by car and public transport, can be privatized for professional or personal events such as birthdays for example.
Practical information: “Au coin gourmand” (156 Bd Henri Barbusse – Draveil), is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
